Walking the path of "conscious development" can be a very difficult journey. There are many distractions along the trail,
that can divert, confuse, hamper ones "aim".
When walking through the wilderness a good "woodsman / woman" will bring along a compass
when journeying through uncharted territory. Likewise we need to use a compass of extraordinary powers to help us along the road home, to higher
levels of consciousness.
We were all given these tools to find our way back, the trouble is, most of us do not use them.
That special
compass that I am speaking about, is referred to as "conscience". Not the acquired conscience that we all accumulate
from birth, which is different according to different cultures. No, I am speaking of a "buried conscience", which is the same for all
of us, regardless of race, creed or culture.
This "buried conscience" like the work term "Magnetic centre" functions above the trappings of life.
It is not interested in the "me first attitude" we develop, according to acquired conscience, it finds those manifestations offensive and very low level.
In order to find this magic compass, one has to search inside the closets and cupboards of ones mind and spirit. The search itself is very painful,
but the peace and security of finding this magic device, can not be described in words alone. Experience is the best teacher, so to actually begin
to see yourself, for maybe the first time, is actually a blessing in disguise.
I can teach the techniques of finding this centre, but the
journey is an individual one. We are all, individually alone in this forest of "oneself".
Like any journey we can begin and begin again, consecutively or interspersed. The key is to get back on the path, at the instantaneous moment of brief awakening.
We may find the path grown over with the weeds of life, but previous experiences will help us clear that trail quicker and easier than before.
Eventually that compass of mystical qualities, is joined by the guiding light of increasing consciousness. The stumbles become fewer, the tempting
divergences less interesting. The pace itself picks up speed and the glory of the new found territory of oneself, is in a word "breathgiving".
We all have the ability to change, what we lack is the desire or will. To acquire this will, we must first believe in something greater than ourselves. We
must seek out this "buried conscience", which is recognisable by the quality of "goodwill giving". We must learn
to consider others before ourselves.
Not an easy task if you really look at it, but perseverance and value will attract the attention of something higher.
This something higher may turn out to be, your higher self...
The esoteric psychological message, behind the parable of the "Prodigal Son", is this journey home...
"Self Remembering" is the Key..."
"Simply put, know ---> thyself and, nothing too much..."
"External consideration, must be the card we play, that "trumps" internal consideration..."
